Corporate Background

Neoteric Research, Incorporated is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation formed in 1995 exclusively for scientific, educational and charitable purposes. The Internal Revenue Service has granted Neoteric Research 509(a)(1) foundation status.

The primary purpose of the Corporation is to advance knowledge and education about the nature of plasma phenomena, especially the research and study of compound or complex plasma structures showing some degree of self organization and long life, or exceptional persistence and stability. Of particular interest are those plasma structures that are amenable to techniques that can achieve atmospheric to hyperbaric pressures over a wide temperature range up to hundreds of KeV, as well as high plasma densities. These include plasmoids, ball lightning, sunspots, magnetic stars and other cosmological plasma structures, including sub-structures and phenomena such as beams, jets, halos, coronas, and hyper-dense states.

In addition, Neoteric Research will develop and apply operator-information array theory to scientific and philosophical concepts in order to reduce the complexities of these ideas and simplify them so they are more easily understood. It is expected that in some cases this will result in the unification of potentially interrelated theories of science and the grand universe.

Corporate efforts are directed toward enabling interested persons, particularly those with a non-scientific background, to better comprehend the world around them. Specific attention is given to natural phenomena that are not well understood by the science community at large, and to human or ecological problems that, if unsolved, untended, or over-treated, may result in catastrophic effects.

Research projects supported to date have been directed toward observation of the airborne artificially formed ball lightning.  Details of the results of the research are reported in the attached papers.

Comparison between the PLASMAK™ BL Model and Formed PMKs

P. M. Koloc presented at the Sixth International Conference on Ball Lightning (BL), Antwerp, Belgium, August 1999.

This paper discusses the physics behind the dynamic characteristics of the artificially produced Ball Lightning (BL) or PMK objects.  Dynamic characteristics include hyperconductivity, acceleration, catastrophic disruption, and energetics.   The effect of electrode impurity on appearance and behavior of PMK/BLs is presented.   T

Formed PLASMAK™ Artificial Ball Lightning Results

P.M. Koloc presented at the Sixth International Conference on Ball Lightning, Antwerp, Belgium, August 1999.

This paper is a companion to “Comparison between PLASMAK™  BL Model and Formed PMKs.”  It reports repeatable and predictable formation of both clean and dusty PLASMAK™ magnetoplasmoid/artificial Ball Lightning (PMK/BLs).  Theoretically predicted features and the experimentally produced clean and dusty PMK/BL’s external features are presented and discussed.  Features include longer than expected lifetimes; polar jets and their physics; physics and conditions for disappearance of the plasma jet; undulating boundaries that produce a convoluted surface due to resistive impurity G-mode like effects; and electrostatically charged dust ejection. In addition, magnetic field and other dynamic interactions are discussed.
